My very first note for this chapter was "Fuuuuuck Megan." This chapter! Woah.

The end was so amazing it almost overshadowed all the rest of the great details we got earlier in the chapter.

K A T nod to the Library of Alexandria inspiration, brilliant.

Also 10/10, I want this game, and I'm here to help you bring it to reality however I can. Seriously.

The pack dynamic is interesting- I have a lot of questions about familial and pack structuring.

You mention the paternal uncle wouldn't go to such lengths for Ella or her mom, even though Ella is both blood, claimed by the pack, and a seer (thus protected) - is this just because she didn't really get to grow up with the extended family? Because she isnt actually a werewolf? Because the uncle and dad just had a really close sibling bond?

What about Ella's mom's pack? Is she accepted into the Gael pack by marrying in? Does that negate or supercede her allegiance with her birth pack? Her birth pack sounds like they aren't as big, established, or intense as the Gael pack, but I'd think they'd still be invested in family. Unless the parents were a forbidden match? Like a prince falling for a commoner, or someone from a strict religious upbringing marrying someone outside of their religion? Or ate they just a small, limited resource pack? Am I over thinking this? Probably. Probably.

As for Chris' comment about Sketchbook approaching Ilbrea on favorites:

Equivalent place in the story of Ena and Ella, I like Ella more. But Ena still has way more world and story behind her that I've gotten attached to, so we'll see how my love grows for Sketchbook as the world continues.

A smoked lemonade actually sounds really delicious. My one trip to disney was for the Disney Food and Wine Fest 🤤 (and Not So Spooky Halloween). So much amazing food. Now you have me drooling thinking about it all these years later, lol.

I love Mickey's Halloween Party! Getting to Trick or Treat without anyone telling you you're too old is great, and the parade is one of my favorites!

Gah, I want to tell you more about her parents and her mom's pack, but it would still veer into spoiler territory at this point. But I promise it makes sense.

I've been brainstorming some fun ways to share more of her parents’ story as a series of mini-chapters/episodes after the end of this book. I *think* I have a way to make it work, but I need to look at the logistics a little more to make sure I'm not being completely unrealistic.

For the game, putting together the stats for a game is beyond any kind of math I've gone near in almost two decades, but I've met a few tabletop game developers at Comicons and I'm going to start sending some feelers out in that direction, just to see how feasible creating the game would actually be. I want it to happen so badly!

I'm so honored you're read enough of my work to know both Ella and Ena. I don't know if another character will ever come close to Ena's place in my author heart, but I'm having so much fun working with Ella and I'm so excited about the path she's on, so Ella is climbing the ranks for me a lot faster than I thought possible.

Also, I think it's hilarious that both of their names start with an E and end with an A. Did not do that on purpose. LOL

I’m excited to find out anything and everything, when the right time comes 😁. I have no doubt it makes sense, you think everything through so thoroughly! Just like in Ena actually, I have so many questions about the mountains myths and the city (trying not to be spoilery, lol), I know I just have to be patient and you’ll reveal things in time. Until then I just wildly speculate 🤣.

Ugh, math. You ARE dedicated. I make my engineer husband do all the math 😅.

I’ve read, or listed to all of Ena, Girl of Glass, Bryant Adams, and The Tethering; what is published thus far with Fracture Pact; and Guilds up to Siege and Sparrow. Which leaves Heart of Smoke and Maggie Trent as your only series still on my TBR list. Which makes you the only author I’ve read most (and plan on all) of their body of work. You are, honestly, my favorite author. I think you are an incredible writer (no matter how uncomfortable that makes you 😜).

Ena and Ella are definitely my favorite characters, of yours and possibly of all the books I’ve read (definitely top 5) and I love that they’re both E—A names, lol; It just feels right. Of your other characters Finn, Ari, and Jerek come in as the next group of favorites, and not far after- maybe Paige, and the rest of the Fracture Pact crew. You just write such GOOD characters.
